View this email in your browser

March 18th & 19th @ SFU Harbour Centre

Grant Application Open

We recognize that regardless of price, conference tickets can be a challenge for some folks right now. In an effort to make this conference accessible to everyone, we offer financial aid for attendees who wish to attend but otherwise would not be able to. Anyone hoping to attend the conference can apply, although grants awards are prioritized for speakers and sprint organizers.

If you are interested in financial aid, please fill out this application: bit.ly/PyCascades2023FinancialAidForm

The deadline for submissions will be February 6th, 2023, AoE. If you have any questions, contact our Grants Chair at grants@pycascades.com.

Tickets Available 🎟️

Ticket sales are open! Our ticket prices will be $75 for students, $125 for enthusiasts, and $250 for professional attendees in-person. Remote tickets will be $10 for students, $25 for enthusiasts, and $50 for professional attendees.

Since this is our first conference back in-person after several years, we've chosen a venue where we feel we can comfortably establish and enforce health & safety protocols for all our attendees. As such, we have a limited number of in-person tickets. Tickets might go quick, so mark your calendars! We will also offer a remote ticket option that does not have a cap in attendee count.

Other Notes 📝

Become a Sprint Organizer

We'll be holding a full day of sprints on Monday, March 20th this year after the conference. Sprints are a way for project maintainers to connect with contributors to help tackle issues and develop together (see the projects from last year). Are you a maintainer of an open source project, or know someone who is? Please fill out our interest form or send us an email at sprints@pycascades.com, we'd love to have your project at PyCascades!

Sponsors 💖

We'd love your support of PyCascades! You can find more details on how to become one of our wonderful sponsors on our website or by reaching out to sponsorship@pycascades.com. PyCascades is a direct project of the Python Software Foundation (“the PSF”). In addition to tax deductibility as a marketing expense for our sponsors, any applicable benefits of the PSF’s 501(c)3 designation from the IRS also may apply.

Think your company or employer might be interested in giving back to the Python community? Let us know! We can reach out to them and discuss how this conference can be supported.
