PyCascades 2023 - Call for Volunteers & Announcement from Microsoft

View this email in your browser

March 17th - 20th @ SFU Harbour Centre

Call for Volunteers 🙌

Want to help make this conference amazing? We need volunteers! Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and get more out of the conference. Volunteers get an inside-view into the conference, meet more folks, and have the opportunity to be a part of this community-led conference. Volunteering will be done in shifts, so you’ll still get a chance to soak up talks, chat with other attendees, and drop by the evening social & Monday sprints. No prior experience is required! To sign up, use one of the following forms depending on how you're attending:

In-Person: bit.ly/PyCascades2023VolunteerFormInPerson
Remote: bit.ly/PyCascades2023VolunteerFormRemote

Other Notes 📝

Become a Sprint Organizer 👩‍💻

We'll be holding a full day of sprints on Monday, March 20th this year after the conference. Sprints are a way for project maintainers to connect with contributors to help tackle issues and develop together (see the projects from last year). Are you a maintainer of an open source project, or know someone who is? Please fill out our interest form or send us an email at sprints@pycascades.com, we'd love to have your project at PyCascades!

Tickets Available 🎟️

Ticket sales are open! Our ticket prices will be $75 for students, $125 for enthusiasts, and $250 for professional attendees in-person. Remote tickets will be $10 for students, $25 for enthusiasts, and $50 for professional attendees.

Since this is our first conference back in-person after several years, we've chosen a venue where we feel we can comfortably establish and enforce health & safety protocols for all our attendees. As such, we have a limited number of in-person tickets. Tickets might go quick, so mark your calendars! We will also offer a remote ticket option that does not have a cap in attendee count.
