We have lots of announcements to share about PyCascades 2021. πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Going Remote πŸ’»

We are sure that this isn't going to surprise anyone: we've decided to take PyCascades remote for 2021. This doesn't mean it'll be any less exciting! We're going to try to bring everything that was special about PyCascades β€” the people, the energy, and the amazing talks to a digital venue and hope that you can join us.

Program & Dates πŸ“†

PyCascades 2021 will take place onΒ Saturday, February 20thΒ from many locations across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We'll have one main conference day filled with talks, panels and opportunities to interact. We'll have an optional social afternoon on Friday, February 19th. If you're looking to get started with contributing to open source join us for mentored sprints on Sunday, February 21st. We'll have more details about the program and what to expect in the coming months. Stay up to date with the latest announcements by following PyCascades on Twitter. If you have questions or concerns in the meantime please reach out to us atΒ organizers@pycascades.com.

Call for Proposals πŸ“£

PyCascades has been lucky to give our stage to incredible speakers with wonderful talks over the last three years. We are really looking forward to showcasing our community again next year. OurΒ Call for Proposals (CFP)Β opens today and closes at the end of the day on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020Β Anywhere on Earth.

Considering speaking at PyCascades? Great! We're looking forward to reading your proposal!

Never considered speaking at PyCascades? We think you should! We love proposals from:

  • People who've never spoken before!
  • People new to Python.
  • People who use Python in their spare time.
  • People who want to talk about something that isn't specifically Python.

What gets you excited? What cool art did you build? What's something you wish someone had told you years ago? What interesting problem have you solved recently? We're interested in talks about anything that someone in the Python community would be interested in hearing about.Β

If you're interested please take a look at the instructions atΒ https://pretalx.com/pycascades-2021/cfp. We'll have advice and assistance for you on getting set up to record or stream your talk if you need it.

If you have any questions about the CFP process, send a note to info@pycascades.com.
